OUR PROCESS

Phase One

DRAFTING + SITE PLANS

In partnership with Neal Roscoe and David Jacobi our team has extensive knowledge of the LA Live campus and surrounding infrastructure.

Our planning process begins with a comprehensive site visit designed to fully evaluate the event footprint before creative, technical, and operational plans are developed.

During this phase, our team captures detailed photography, video, measurements, and spatial references across the entire site. This allows us to build a highly accurate working site plan that identifies key operational requirements, opportunities, and limitations early in the planning process.

This planning process allows us to assess:

  • Guest Flow

Entry points, check-in areas, red carpet movement, press line circulation, audience queuing, VIP pathways, ADA access, and overall crowd flow.

  • Fire Safety + Code Consideration

Egress paths, fire lanes, occupancy considerations, barricade placement, tenting limitations, emergency access, and areas requiring Fire Marshal review.

  • Security Planning
Credential checkpoints, perimeter control, talent protection, public access points, barricade lines, private holding areas, and separation between public, press, talent, VIP, and production zones.

  • Site Conditions + Limitations
Power access, rigging restrictions, existing obstructions, lighting conditions, curb cuts, street closures, camera sightlines, weather exposure, flooring conditions, and venue-specific restrictions.

The result is a comprehensive site plan that becomes the foundation for all future planning, including scenic design, red carpet layout, technical production, staffing, permitting, security coordination, guest experience, and budget development.

Phase Two

BUDGET ANALYSIS + COST STRATEGY

Following site plan development, our team builds a highly detailed budget analysis that aligns the creative vision with the realities of today’s production landscape.

With major budget reductions across networks, studios, and brand partners, we understand the importance of delivering high-impact red carpet experiences with cost efficiency in mind — without sacrificing quality, polish, or guest experience.

Our budget process is informed by years of award show, premiere, and live event production experience. We evaluate every major cost driver, including scenic fabrication, rentals, labor, lighting, power, technical production, trucking, security, permitting, staffing, and venue requirements, to identify where costs can be reduced, shared, or reallocated for maximum impact.

Beyond our extensive network of vendors, production partners, and in-house resources, our industry relationships and deep understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and production logistics allow us to make smarter budget decisions from the beginning.

This approach allows us to:

  • Maximize Creative Impact
Prioritize the visual and experiential elements that matter most on camera, on-site, and across digital platforms.

  • Control Production Costs
Leverage trusted vendors, competitive sourcing, shared resources, and efficient build strategies to reduce unnecessary spend.

  • Protect Quality + Finish
Recommend materials, scenic solutions, and fabrication methods that maintain a premium look while staying aligned with budget goals.

  • Reduce Redundancy
Identify opportunities to streamline labor, rentals, trucking, technical infrastructure, and production management across multiple event zones.

  • Anticipate Cost Drivers Early
Flag high-impact variables such as venue restrictions, union requirements, overnight labor, fire safety needs, security, permitting, street closures, and client-driven changes.

  • Create a Smarter Production Framework
Develop a working budget that supports creative ambition while remaining realistic, transparent, and adaptable throughout planning.

The result is a strategic budget roadmap that allows clients to understand where their dollars are going, where savings can be achieved, and how to deliver a premium red carpet environment with responsible production oversight.

Phase Three

BRAND CREATIVE + SCENIC SET DESIGN

Once the site plan and budget framework are established, our team begins developing the brand creative and scenic design approach for the red carpet environment.

This phase starts with a deeper understanding of the approved brand creative, including colors, textures, shapes, patterns, visual elements, show graphics, corporate sponsors, and the overall creative narrative. From there, we evaluate how those assets translate from digital key art into large-format, scalable, physical production elements for a live red carpet environment.

For many shows, digital key art is not immediately production-ready for scenic fabrication. Our team is often tasked with rebuilding or adapting brand assets into clean vector formats to ensure crisp scalability, consistent proportions, and visual alignment across step-and-repeats, scenic walls, photo moments, digital displays, sponsor integrations, wayfinding, and dimensional scenic elements.

This process allows us to maintain brand integrity while ensuring the creative can perform properly at scale, both in person and on camera.

Our work in this phase includes:

  • Brand Asset Review
Evaluating approved show creative, sponsor guidelines, logo usage, color palettes, textures, typography, and key visual elements.

  • Television Academy Brand Integration
Ensuring all scenic and experiential elements remain aligned with the Television Academy’s established key art and visual identity, translating the approved brand creative into immersive, camera-ready red carpet and guest-facing environments.

  • Production-Ready Artwork Development
Translating digital key art into scalable vector files, fabrication-ready layouts, large-format print assets, and dimensional scenic applications.

  • Scenic Wall Development
Designing red carpet walls, media backdrops, photography moments, and branded scenic environments that feel cohesive, elevated, and camera-ready.

  • Creative Narrative Alignment
Ensuring each scenic element supports the main show narrative and visual identity without feeling forced, overdesigned, or disconnected from the larger brand story.

  • Sponsor Integration
Incorporating corporate sponsors in a way that feels intentional, premium, and aligned with the overall design language of the event.

  • Visual Consistency Across Activations
Creating uniformity across all scenic elements, digital moments, sponsor activations, press areas, VIP zones, and guest-facing environments.

Working closely with internal creative, marketing, PR, sponsorship, and production teams, we develop scenic concepts and photo moments that provide a clean, intentional aesthetic while highlighting the show’s core visual identity.

The result is a red carpet environment that feels fully connected to the main show brand, built with production realities in mind, and designed to deliver strong visuals across photography, broadcast, press, social, and guest experience.

Phase Four

3D ELEVATION RENDERINGS + REAL-TIME ENVIRONMENT WALKTHROUGHS

Once the site plan, budget framework, and scenic direction are established, our team develops detailed 3D elevation renderings and real-time virtual environment walkthroughs.

These to-scale virtual environments are created with extreme attention to detail, allowing clients, internal teams, venue partners, sponsors, and production stakeholders to clearly understand how the red carpet environment will look, feel, and function before the physical build begins.

Our modeling system allows us to create fully editable 3D components based on actual scenic elements, rentals, décor, lighting, carpet, drape, furniture, signage, sponsor activations, and production infrastructure. Each environment is built to reflect real-world sourcing, scale, placement, and site conditions, creating a practical visual tool that supports both creative approvals and operational planning.

As part of this process, we develop a comprehensive 3D catalogue of production elements that align with actual rental and fabrication options. This allows our team to quickly adjust scenic walls, colors, materials, textures, furniture, activations, sponsor branding, lighting looks, and décor packages as the creative direction evolves.

Our virtual environments can be updated within 24 hours of site plan revisions, allowing for easy daily distribution to internal teams, executives, corporate partners, sponsors, and approval stakeholders.

This phase allows us to support:

  • To-Scale Visual Planning
Create accurate 3D environments that reflect real dimensions, guest flow, scenic placement, red carpet positioning, and production logistics.

  • Real-Time Creative Adjustments
Quickly swap scenic elements, colors, branding, activations, furniture, décor, lighting, and material finishes as planning evolves.

  • Sponsor + Partner Visualization
Show corporate partners exactly how their brand integrations, scenic moments, signage, and activations will appear within the live environment.

  • Lighting + Environmental Accuracy
Develop renderings with realistic venue-based lighting by location and time of day, including shading, depth, reflection, and overall visual mood.

  • Operational Review
Evaluate sightlines, camera angles, press positions, guest pathways, barricades, obstructions, and spatial relationships before build-out.

  • Daily Approval Support
Provide updated visuals for internal review, executive approvals, sponsor alignment, and cross-department communication throughout the planning process.

The result is a highly detailed virtual production environment that allows every stakeholder to see the event before it is built, make faster creative decisions, reduce costly revisions, and ensure the final red carpet design is visually aligned, operationally sound, and production-ready.

Phase Five

SCENIC FABRICATION + PRINT PRODUCTION

Once the scenic direction and 3D renderings are approved, our team moves into detailed scenic fabrication and print production.

Working closely with internal creative, production, and brand teams, we provide detailed architectural drawings, 3D renderings, fabrication breakouts, material recommendations, and build logistics to ensure every scenic element is engineered for scale, finish, durability, and installation efficiency.

Our process is built around maintaining visual consistency across every printed and fabricated surface. We follow G7 print production standards to support uniform color accuracy across scenic walls, fabric graphics, banners, vinyl, SEG, dimensional logos, and other direct-to-print elements. This allows brand colors, sponsor marks, show graphics, and visual textures to remain consistent from one application to the next.

From our in-house print production and fabrication teams to our extensive network of industry partners, we are able to bring complex scenic concepts to life within tight timelines and budget-conscious production parameters.

Our advanced understanding of materials, substrates, finishes, and fabrication methods allows us to develop scenic environments at any size, shape, scale, or budget level — from fully custom scenic builds to efficient hybrid systems designed for flexibility and impact.

This phase includes:

  • Architectural Drawings + Fabrication Plans
Detailed drawings, measurements, elevations, build notes, and installation requirements for each scenic element.

  • Material + Substrate Strategy
Recommendations for wood, metal, acrylic, vinyl, fabric, SEG, foam, dimensional lettering, printed panels, specialty finishes, and other scenic materials.

  • Print Production + Color Consistency
G7-informed print workflows that help maintain color consistency across scenic walls, fabric, banners, vinyl, direct-print substrates, and sponsor graphics.

  • Custom Scenic Fabrication
Fully custom builds using multiple substrates, layered finishes, dimensional treatments, lighting integration, texture, paint, and specialty fabrication.

  • Hybrid SEG Scenic Systems
Highly adaptable SEG systems with custom shapes, depths, layering, lighting, and modular scenic flexibility for premium looks within efficient budgets.
